My titles include mom, wife, grad student, and employee.  But my real passion?  Health and fitness.  When I’m not doing my full-time marketing job, I’m dreaming of the day I will get to open my own fitness studio, catered towards busy women and mamas, just like myself.  But for now, this blog is my health & fitness outlet.

I grew up playing sports (softball, basketball, soccer, and track), am an avid lover of being outdoors and hiking, and also am a certified personal trainer through ACSM.  Being active and fit has always been in my blood, and I love connecting with others who share the same values.  Since giving birth to my son in 2014, I’ve realized even more the importance of staying fit and healthy, and really want to support and encourage other new mothers to take care of themselves.

Starting a blog has always been something I’ve wanted to do.  I really enjoy writing, but most of all, I love interacting with other like-minded women like myself.  I find myself to be most inspired by other strong and courageous women, and hope, too, that I can be some sort of guide and support for anyone struggling to make health a priority in their lives (especially new mamas).  This blog also serves as an accountability tool for me because, let’s face it, it’s unrealistic to want to exercise, move, and eat healthy 24/7.
